It's incredibly hot and muggy outside, and I couldn't bear to spend any more time outdoors today (went fishing this morning and absolutely killed it). So I decided to do a little studio shoot with some of the gear I use.The first image includes the bag to the 24" x 24" softbox I got from Cowboy Studios (originally there was a shipping problem with my order, but they were great about getting my order back out to me so I highly recommend them).
I wanted to include the second image because I find the reflection of the lenses very aesthetically pleasing.
So the gear in the shot includes: the two lenses (18 - 105 mm 3.5-5.6 and 70 - 300 mm 4.5-5.6 both VR), the lightmeter (Sekonic L358), the speedlite (Yongnuo YN460-II), and the radio transmitters (Yongnuo YN-04 II).
I used two of the Yongnuo speedlites to light the background and an SB600 in the softbox as the main. The seamless is made up of a white sheet coming from a white wall and a piece of white tileboard from Lowes. The tileboard gives that nice reflection that I really like.
So today was actually a twofer, but I guess that doesn't mean I can skip tomorrow :-)
