These are some bacterial culture plates. I was using these to clone a particular DNA sequence for future reference when performing qPCR.
This was another one of those super quick work photos. I shot with available light (overhead fluorescent). I didn't use the gorillapod this time... instead I bumped up the ISO to 800 and handheld the shot. Later in camera RAW I processed out the little bit of noise. I also sharpened in RAW and adjusted saturation of the colors somewhat. Within photoshop I did some minimal curves and levels plus one overlay layer (which made a very pronounced difference.
