These photographs were both shot today along the levee of the Mississippi river. It wasn't the perfect time to shoot (about 9:45 AM), but I saw these and just hopped out of the car. I'm not entirely sure what purpose the barrels serve, but they certainly have an interesting look to them.
I actually drove past them thinking there might be something more interesting down the road, then changed my mind. I figured if you see an interesting subject, go for it while you have the opportunity.
